  • Will the metal tarnish?
    - Solid gold doesn’t tarnish, they just loose their brightness over time due to scratches during wearing. After a certain time of use, your jewelry should need to be re-polishing/re-buffing by professional in order to regain its original beauty. - Regarding plated jewelry, the plating will wear off eventually due to usage, humidity and your skin chemistry, however if you look after your pieces, you will prolong the plating. - We provide you with care instructions for all jewelry so it will last as long as possible. Please read here - All Duong’s items benefit a lifelong free re-polishing policy. - According to our policy, full-price jewelry purchased from Duong will be replated one time free of charge within the first 12 months. The coating applied by electroplating can be usually from 0.5 to 5 microns thick (this depends on the producers). By creating a chemical bond, the plating is a permanent addition to the surface of the base metal. This means that it will not naturally fall off or separate. However, plating can be worn off over months and years of use and wear. Duong’s jewelry applies professional procedure using certified galvanic solutions from Switzerland and Italy. The thickness of metal applied is 2 micron and dipping time around 8 minutes.
